My custom map-making process involves meticulous research, data collection, and cartographic design to create accurate and visually appealing maps. I start by gathering relevant geographic information from reliable sources, ensuring the accuracy of details. I employ advanced cartographic techniques to present this data in an aesthetically pleasing and easy-to-understand format. From the selecting of color schemes, customizing symbols, and designing graphics, I collaborate directly with clients throughout the design process. The final result is a high-quality, aesthetically pleasing, and personalized custom map that will be a permanent and treasured fine art piece for years to come.

  • I highly advise our clients to initiate the planning process for their custom art map well in advance. The creation and printing of the map typically takes up to 6 weeks, ensuring meticulous attention to detail and delivering a high-quality, personalized product. Early planning allows me to cater to your specific requirements and ensures your art map is ready in time for your intended occasion.

    In this initial planning phase, I will connect via a virtual meeting to discuss and plan every detail of your custom art map. I'll guide you through various mapping options, including geographic location, scale, size, color schemes, graphics, map styles, map product options, and printing options. A $100 deposit is required to kickstart the process and secure your personalized art map.

  • Once we have a clear plan, I'll dive into comprehensive data research to gather information about your chosen location. Choosing the right coordinate system is crucial, and I'll combine available data layers to create 2-3 map mock-ups based on your preferences.

  • We'll reconvene in a virtual meeting to present the original art map mock-ups. This is your chance to provide feedback and make any additional preferences known, ensuring we capture your vision accurately.

  • Your feedback is valuable. During this stage, I'll incorporate any revision requests you may have, refining the art map to meet your expectations.

  • With your revisions in place, I will share the final draft of your art map. I will confirm printing and pricing specifications and seek your final approval to guarantee your satisfaction.

  • Once your art map has been delivered securely, you'll receive a final invoice with clear instructions for payment.

  • Using fine art Giclee printing methods, your art map will be brought to life on either decor paper or stretched canvas, depending on your preferences.

  • For local clients, I offer personal delivery. For others, your final art map will be carefully packaged and shipped via UPS to ensure its safe arrival.
